A total of 27 eminent artistes have been named for National Film
Award-2014 as recognition of their outstanding performances in
respective arenas.
The announcement came on Thursday (February 25) to give the National Film Award in 26 categories.
Syed Hasan Imam and Rani Sarker will be given lifetime achievement award for their contribution to respective fields.
The
awardees are: Best film – ‘Brihannala’ (producer Murad Parvez), Best
Short Film – ‘Gariwala’ (producer Ashraf Shishir) Best director –
Zahidur Rahman Angon (Meghamallar), Best actor – Ferdous Ahmed (Ek Cup
Cha), Best actress (jointly) – Arifa Parvin Moushumi (Tarkata) and Bidya
Sinha Meem (Jonakir Alo), Best side-actor – Dr Azaz Islam (Tarkata),
Best side-actress – Chitralekha Guh (Ekattorer Ma Janani), Best villain –
Tarek Anam (Desha the Leader), Best Comedian – Misha Sawdagor (Alpa
Alpa Premer Galpa), Best child actor – Abir Hossain Ankan (Baisamya).
Besides,
Best child actor special award – Marjan Hossain Jara (Meghamallar),
Best music director – Dr Sayem Rana (Nekkaber-er Mohaproyan), Best
singer (male) – Mahfuz Anam Jems (Desha the Leader), Best singer
(jointly), female – Runa Laila (Priya Tumi Sukhi Hao) and Momtaz
(Nekkaber-er Mohaproyan).
